Collaboration with engineering teams to deliver sustainable solutions #### **About the Environmental Engineer - Mining Role** **Job Description** We are looking for an Environmental Engineer to contribute expertise and skills to our sustainable infrastructure projects in mining. **Responsibilities** * Conduct technical analyses of processes; * Carry out feasibility and productivity studies; * Implement process optimizations and improvements; * Establish and maintain operational routines; * Develop and review operational procedures; * Prepare detailed technical reports; * Submit reports to health surveillance authorities; * Prepare technical reports to meet regulatory conditions; * Ensure compliance with legal requirements and conditions; * Interface with functional areas such as Environment, Engineering, etc.; * Analyze existing projects and processes; * Research and apply new technologies; * Evaluate the effectiveness of chemicals used; * Report process performance indicators; * Apply proactive tools for continuous improvement; * Address identified deviations and non-conformities; * Support audits, inspections, and site visits; * Prepare technical presentations; * Conduct training for third-party teams; * Diagnose systems and propose improvements; * Develop detailed schedules; * Define actions to ensure the effectiveness of the management system; * Evaluate RAC and propose improvements. * Conduct environmental impact assessments and develop management plans for our projects. * Develop and implement strategies for mitigating and compensating environmental impacts. * Monitor and evaluate environmental compliance of ongoing projects. * Support obtaining licenses and permits from competent environmental agencies. * Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate sustainable solutions into projects. * Guide teams on best practices in environmental management. Act across the organization as a facilitator of processes with operational areas * **Requirements** * Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Sanitary Engineering; * Availability to attend the office and/or operations weekly under an in-person model; * Valid driver's license (Category B); * Active CREA registration; * Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. * Proven experience working as an Environmental Engineer. * In-depth knowledge of environmental legislation and licensing procedures for mining companies. * Demonstrated ability in data analysis, technical report writing, and communication. * Proactive, team-oriented, and results-driven.
