Based on Stephen King's 2000 novel of the same name. Synopsis: Alan Parker (Jonathan Jackson) is a young artist haunted by inner ghosts and recurring images of death. When he believes he is losing his girlfriend Jessica (Erika Christensen), his obsession with life's dark side drives him to attempt suicide on his birthday. Saved from death by friends who arrive just in time, he discovers it is actually his mother who is about to die. And on the night of October 31—Halloween night—Alan embarks on the darkest journey of his life. Based on Stephen King's phenomenal bestseller (more than 400,000 readers worldwide downloaded this novella within less than 24 hours), writer-director Mick Garris—who previously collaborated with King on the films 'Sleepwalkers' (1992) and 'The Shining' (1997)—transforms this story into a film that forces us to confront our inevitable mortality.
