We are strengthening our team and seeking a QAS\-CoC Department Manager – Quality, Environment, Safety, and Chain of Custody – to join our headquarters in Esmoriz.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage and coordinate the QAS\-CoC Department, ensuring achievement of objectives defined for Quality, Environment, Safety, and Chain of Custody;
* Manage, implement, and promote continuous improvement of applicable Management Systems;
* Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, normative, and internal requirements related to Quality, Environment, and Safety;
* Plan and conduct internal audits, as well as monitor and coordinate external and certification audits;
* Guarantee maintenance and compliance with requirements associated with FSC and PEFC certifications, particularly regarding Chain of Custody;
* Monitor performance indicators, identify deviations, and ensure definition and follow-up of corrective and preventive actions;
* Analyze processes and propose initiatives for continuous improvement, contributing to product quality, operational efficiency, and risk reduction;
* Promote and monitor safety and risk prevention practices within the industrial environment;
* Develop and monitor sustainability initiatives and policies in alignment with corporate objectives;
* Promote a culture of Quality, Environment, and Safety across the organization, raising awareness and training teams on best practices and applicable procedures;
* Coordinate and develop the department team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile:
* Higher education degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a relevant field;
* Relevant professional experience in Quality, Environment, and/or Safety roles, preferably within an industrial context;
* Experience implementing and maintaining Management Systems and familiarity with applicable ISO standards;
* Knowledge of legislation and best practices in Safety and Environment;
* Experience or knowledge of FSC and PEFC certifications, preferably at Chain of Custody level;
* Experience conducting and monitoring internal and external audits;
* Strong orientation toward continuous improvement, process analysis, and problem solving;
* CAP / Professional Title of Senior Occupational Safety Technician – Level VI (preferred);
* CCP – Pedagogical Competence Certificate (preferred);
* Leadership, organizational, planning, and priority management capabilities;
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
* Rigor, sense of responsibility, autonomy, and attention to detail.
