Nikon F5 SLR 50th Anniversary with SB-27 Flash, MF-28 Back, MN-30 Battery Packs, etc.

Nikon F5 version extremely difficult to find outside Japan. This unit has seen very little use and was recently fully serviced by a former official Nikon repair technician. The Nikon MN-30 battery packs (enabling increased frame rate up to 8 fps) were opened, and in each pack all 10 rechargeable Ni-MH 4/5AA 1.2V 1200mAh cells were replaced with new equivalent ones. These two packs can be charged simultaneously using the Nikon MH-30 rapid charger, also included. The Nikon MF-28 Multi-Control Function Data Back is extremely rare, with prices approaching €200. However, I am also including the original unit. To fully replicate the experience of using this camera in the late 1990s, I am including as a bonus the Nikon SB-27 AF-TTL Speedlight—the top-tier flash unit of its time. Part of the Nikon F-series lineage: F, F2, F3, F4—and predecessor to the Nikon F6 In 1998, two years after the introduction of the F5, Nikon marked the 50th anniversary of its camera production, beginning with the first Nikon I launched in 1948. To commemorate this milestone, Nikon released the 50th Anniversary Edition model, based on the F5, featuring modifications to the top body covering color—titanium top plates—and body cover, adopting a dignified dark-silver tone. The rubber on the oval section was likewise changed to dark gray. On the front of the viewfinder, the same “Nikon” logo used on the Nikon I was engraved; on the rear of the body appeared the company’s former designation “Nippon Kogaku K.K.” alongside the commemorative “Nikon Cameras 50th Anniversary” mark—this being the only F5 variant. In June 1998, accompanied by a special wide commemorative strap, it was launched in a limited run of 2,000 units (with an additional 1,000 allocated for overseas markets, totaling 3,000 units) at a domestic price of ¥340,000 (excluding tax), selling out rapidly. Preference for hand-delivery in Santo Tirso, possibly Porto, allowing the camera and accessories to be tested in person.
