Job Summary: At Xpand IT, the Platform Engineering team designs and operates the infrastructure that enables all our solutions to run quickly and securely. Key Highlights: 1. Managing and orchestrating containerized environments, ensuring high availability. **Team:** Platform Engineering **Level:** Mid\-level, Senior **Offices:** Lisbon, Braga At Xpand IT, the Platform Engineering team designs and operates the infrastructure that enables all our solutions to run quickly and securely, ensuring systems are resilient and scalable from day one. The primary focus is simplifying technology for our customers by managing the entire platform lifecycle—from initial planning through to full automation via code. Key Responsibilities As a Platform Engineer, you will play a critical role in modernizing infrastructure, ensuring the stability and performance of complex ecosystems. Your focus will include: Designing and implementing scalable infrastructures in Cloud environments (Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS) and On\-prem; Automating platform provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools; Managing and orchestrating containerized environments, ensuring service high availability; Implementing strict security policies and monitoring practices to ensure system health; Collaborating with development and data teams to optimize application solution deployment and performance. **Stacks:** **Cloud Providers:** Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS; **Automation:** Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation; **Containers \& Orchestration:** Docker and Kubernetes (AKS, GKE, EKS); **Scripting:** Bash and PowerShell. Requirements Academic Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields. Cloud \& Infrastructure Practical experience configuring and managing services on major Cloud Providers (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud). Automation (IaC) Proficiency with automation and provisioning tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. Operating Systems \& Scripting Advanced system administration knowledge and ability to automate tasks via Bash or PowerShell. Containers Solid experience with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration (preferably with managed offerings such as AKS, EKS, or GKE). Languages Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken) is mandatory. **Bonus Points:** Knowledge of CI/CD for infrastructure automation; Experience in On\-prem to Cloud migration projects; Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools; **Official Cloud certifications (e.g.:** Azure Solutions Architect, AWS SysOps).
