Responsibilities: * Translate manual network and security configurations into automation using Ansible playbooks and Python scripts. * Design, test, and maintain automation workflows across a multi\-vendor network environment. * Automate infrastructure configurations for devices such as Fortinet firewalls and Arista Networks switches. * Work autonomously on network automation tasks, validating solutions without relying on another network engineer. * Contribute to the team’s network automation framework (VLAB) and scale automation use cases. * Leverage AI\-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to accelerate code development. * Manage code, version control, and testing pipelines using GitLab. * Support the development and integration of MCP (Model Context Protocol) services within the infrastructure. * Collaborate with network, systems, security, and operations teams. Essential skills: * Strong background in network and/or security engineering (routing, switching, firewall management). * Hands\-on experience with physical network infrastructure and appliances. * Solid automation experience using Ansible. * Ability to develop automation scripts with Python. * Practical experience with Fortinet / FortiGate and/or Checkpoint security technologies. * Experience working in multi\-vendor network environments (e.g., Arista Networks, Fortinet). * Familiarity with version control and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab. * Ability to translate manual network configurations into automated workflows. * Strong troubleshooting and validation skills in network automation environments. * Comfortable working with AI\-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
