#Mackie 1642 VLZ3 with super warm and bouncy with great low end punch in awesome state never used outside the non smoking studio// # Mackie VLZ3 Mixer with the essential individual direct outputs from each channel for professional recording in synth, drum machine and sampler studios to a sound card and DAW or cassette recorder among others. Very useful also for live recording or concerts. Although they have never left the studio, they are highly portable for the number of channels and can be used in live gigs for all your gear. Both feature very strong balanced audio outputs and amazing amps. Mackie colors the sound more. Needless to say, the VLZ3 Mackies sound better and are more durable than any of the newer counterparts even from the same brand like the VLZ 4 which are prone to break down early unlike this workhorse, thus I went for this classic model which is a mixer for life and easy to service if needed. Optimal mixing console for recording, mastering or even using live, being super portable. Purchased on a clearance sale for 700€ 3 years ago. Here for the special offer so you can take your music to the next level—it’s not just a mixer but a musical instrument on its own as it is super musical! See my Other Ads here Thankxxx #Analog Sound // let’s do music with our hands Full Description Superior XDR2 microphone preamplifiers - The new second-generation XDR2 (Extended Dynamic Range) microphone preamplifiers offer incredibly low noise, with individual microphone preamp THD below 0.0007 and overall mixer THD below 0.0025. With 60dB of gain available per channel, the 1642-VLZ3 can handle inputs ranging from a whisper to a scream, and can even handle hot line-level signals up to +22dB without any additional coloration. Three types of channel strips - Channels 1-8 are essentially the same as those on our 1604-VLZ3, with mono line-level input and our ultra-high-quality XDR2 microphone preamplifiers. These VLZ (Very Low Impedance) microphone preamplifiers deliver superior sound quality and the best RFI rejection of any compact mixer on the market. Channels 9/10 and 11/12 (two physical channel strips) provide a stereo pair of line-level inputs and one mono XDR2 microphone preamplifier. Channels 13/14 and 15/16 (also on two physical channel strips) each provide one stereo pair of line-level inputs only, with fixed 4-band equalization at points specifically designed for line-level inputs such as keyboards, sound modules, etc. Two Unique Equalization Formats - High-quality equalization is essential for any good mixer and Mackie did not cut corners on the 1642-VLZ3. Channels 1-8 feature the same world-renowned 3-band active EQ found on the 1604-VLZ3. Tremendous effort was made to optimize the center points of these microphone channel EQs, with lows at 80Hz and highs at 12kHz. Midrange compensation is handled by a peak control with a two-octave variable frequency center. This means mids can be swept from 100Hz to 8kHz with a boost or cut of 15dB. The remaining channels have a musically correct fixed 4-band equalizer for the remaining channels, which are primarily intended for line-level signals such as keyboards, sound modules and electronic drums. All of this results in practical and useful equalization, with ease of tone shaping to effectively enhance the musical nature of the original signal. Professional Features - The Mackie 1642-VLZ3 mixing console is packed with premium features on every channel: 75Hz Low-Cut filters, four Aux Sends, inserts, phantom power, constant-noise Pan controls, OL (Overload) and signal present LEDs, sub and main mix assignment switches and assignable AFL/PFL Solo switch. And since output options are never too many, we also provide a Control Room/Phones source matrix, Master Aux section with EFX for Monitor, tape outputs, high-volume headphone amplifier, direct outputs from channels 1-8, and balanced XLR and TRS as well as balanced/unbalanced outputs. Robust Construction - All VLZ3 mixers are built robustly. The solid steel chassis uses co-molded pots, providing substantial stress relief at all critical points. The control knobs sit immediately above the chassis surface, so if something heavy falls on the mixer, the impact is transferred from the knobs to the steel chassis rather than to the potentiometers or circuit board. Finally, to eliminate potential damage to the circuit board, the horizontally mounted fiberglass printed circuit board is supported by a shock-absorbing frame. Superior Sound Quality - Above all, the 1642-VLZ3 delivers superior sound quality, extended dynamic range, ample headroom and extremely low noise, enabling you to create high-quality professional outputs.
