Apply sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining current guest loyalty to Marriott. Identify opportunities to sell upgraded products to customers and upsell enhancements to create superior experiences or events at Marriott. Perform general office tasks to support Sales and Marketing (e.g., filing, sending emails, transcribing information, sending faxes). Enter, retrieve, reconcile, and verify information (e.g., commissions, initiatives, third parties) using sales-related software. Gather materials and compile information packages (e.g., brochures, promotional materials). Determine and award guest gifts as appreciation for being our customers (e.g., reward points, show tickets). Prepare sales-related documents throughout the entire sales process (e.g., proposals, contracts, or banquet orders for events). Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and communicate with them via telephone and email to respond to their questions and requests. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management. Comply with all company policies and procedures; ensure uniforms and personal appearance are neat and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; and protect company assets. Greet and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards; anticipate their service needs and fulfill them with genuine appreciation. Communicate with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; and answer telephones using proper protocol. Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with others; support the team in achieving common goals; listen and respond appropriately to concerns raised by fellow employees. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats; stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 10 pounds or less without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
