Support and assistance during meals and logistics **Location:**Vilamoura, PT **Date:** 26 May 2026 **Application closing date:****ROLE SUMMARY:** The Vilamoura International School seeks a dynamic, responsible, and proactive **Supervisor** to join its school support team. The professional will be responsible for accompanying, guiding, and supervising students during non-instructional periods (breaks, lunch, transportation, and after-school programs). The primary objective is to ensure a safe, inclusive, stimulating, and joyful environment aligned with the humanistic values and global citizenship principles of our school community. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:** * **Supervision and Safety:** Actively supervise students in common areas (playgrounds, corridors, dining hall, and leisure areas), preventing risky behavior and ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. * **Activity Facilitation:** Promote, organize, and facilitate games, playful activities, and creative workshops during free time and extended-day programs. * **Dining Hall Support:** Accompany students during meals, promoting healthy eating habits, autonomy, and table etiquette. * **Logistical Support:** Assist in receiving and handing over students to their legal guardians, as well as accompany them on field trips or school transport routes (where applicable). * **Conflict Management:** Mediate minor conflicts among students empathetically and assertively, using positive communication practices and reporting serious situations to coordination staff. * **First Aid:** Provide basic first aid in case of minor incidents and refer formal medical cases to the school’s nursing services. **THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:** * **Educational Qualifications:** Completion of 12th grade (minimum). Additional training in Socio-Cultural Animation, Family and Community Support, or an Auxiliary Education Worker course will be highly valued. * **Language Skills:** Fluency in Portuguese. As CIV is an international environment, basic or intermediate English proficiency is highly important for communicating with international students. * **Experience:** Prior experience working with children and young people (in schools, after-school programs, summer camps, or scouting). * **Personal Profile:** Strong sense of responsibility, patience, dynamism, teamwork spirit, and genuine enthusiasm for interacting with children. * **Criminal Record Certificate:** Submission of a Criminal Record Certificate for working with minors (a legal requirement). **SAFEGUARDING STATEMENT:** Inspired Education Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and other third parties to share this commitment.
