DHL Supply Chain is seeking to strengthen its Operations Excellence team in Azambuja with a professional oriented toward Health \& Safety and Continuous Improvement, capable of working closely with operations to contribute to safer, more efficient, and sustainable workplaces. This position plays a cross-functional role in implementing operational standards, promoting safety culture, and developing Lean initiatives within one of DHL’s largest and most strategic logistics hubs in Portugal. **Key Responsibilities** **Health \& Safety \& Compliance*** Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety legislation and DHL’s internal policies. * Conduct risk assessments, monitor preventive measures, and support incident and accident investigations. * Ensure implementation of SHST legal standards and basics across assigned sites. * Promote a safety culture through operational oversight, awareness-raising, and training. * Collaborate with operational teams to identify risks and improvement opportunities. **Continuous Improvement \& Excellence*** Implement and drive the OMS FC, DHL’s operational management model focused on safety, efficiency, and standardization. * Support Lean projects and initiatives using tools such as Kaizen, 5S, A3, DMAIC, visual management, and problem solving. * Work closely with operations to optimize processes and improve performance. * Contribute to reengineering and operational development projects aligned with corporate standards. * Support sustainability of management systems and consolidation of an operational excellence culture. **Desired Profile*** Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Occupational Safety, Quality, or related fields. * Certification as Occupational Health and Safety Technician (preferred) or willingness to obtain certification. * CAP Trainer Certification (preferred) or willingness to obtain. * Experience in roles related to Health \& Safety, continuous improvement, quality, or logistics/industrial operations. * Knowledge of Lean methodologies and continuous improvement tools. * Fluency in Portuguese and English (mandatory) * Fluency in Spanish (desirable) * Analytical ability, structured thinking, and problem-solving orientation. * Strong communication and influence skills when working with multidisciplinary teams. * Dynamic, organized profile with strong field orientation and operational proximity. * Collaborative mindset and focus on promoting safe and efficient workplaces. **Why DHL Supply Chain?** Joining DHL Supply Chain means becoming part of a global benchmark organization, recognized for its culture of operational excellence, innovation, and people development.
