Junior Technical Engineer Location: Alcochete We are looking for a highly organized and technical Maintenance & Facilities Engineer to ensure our company’s assets are maintained to the highest standards of readiness, safety, and regulatory compliance. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing routine maintenance, optimizing operational costs, and leading CAPEX projects, while ensuring strict adherence to GACP and GMP guidelines. Key Responsibilities * Maintenance Management: Develop and implement a comprehensive Preventive Maintenance program, including schedules, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and work orders, in compliance with GACP/GMP standards. * Quality and Compliance: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to build a robust documentation system ensuring full traceability. * Validation and Calibration: Manage calibration plans for measurement equipment and develop validation/qualification protocols and reports. * Project Oversight: Monitor and report on internal implementation of investment projects (machinery and facilities) to key business partners (stakeholders). * Cost Optimization: Conduct cost-effectiveness analyses and market research to optimize maintenance contracts, promoting a long-term culture of operational savings. * KPI Monitoring: Track maintenance KPIs to improve asset reliability at optimized cost and implement continuous improvement processes. * Supply Chain: Manage inventory of critical spare parts using a risk-based approach and manage relationships with strategic suppliers. * Health and Safety: Implement and promote Occupational Health and Safety regulations among internal teams and external service providers. * Leadership: Provide training, coaching, and motivation to the team to ensure a high-performance maintenance culture. Requirements * Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering field (preferred). * Experience: Proven experience in facility management within regulated environments (knowledge of GACP/GMP is essential). * Technical Skills: Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and metrological control SOPs. * Project Management: Ability to manage CAPEX projects and track complex implementation plans. * Languages: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential to collaborate with our international teams. * Personal Skills: Strong leadership ability, excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, and high attention to detail and rigor.
