The Lead Bartender is the creative face of the **Metropolitan LDA** bar. This role leads the execution of the cocktail menu, preparation standards, mise\-en\-place organisation, and service quality, ensuring every drink reflects human warmth, rhythm, and the concept’s effortless elegance. This position combines creativity, technical mastery, rigorous preparation, team training, and strong operational presence.

In an underground\-chic and casual\-cool environment, the space evolves from outdoor sunset aperitifs to a more festive energy later into the night. The gastronomic offering is simple, intense, and honest: carefully selected ingredients, generous sharing dishes, striking garnishes, and memorable sauces. Outstanding cocktails and a thoughtfully curated quality wine list complete the experience, creating a destination designed for long evenings, music, and shared pleasure.
**Key Responsibilities**
· Develop signature cocktails, pre\-batches, cordials, syrups, infusions, and garnishes aligned with the **Metropolitan LDA** identity.
· Test recipes, define technical specifications, and ensure absolute consistency in taste, cost, and presentation.
· Organise all daily bar preparation, including mise\-en\-place, cutting, garnishes, ice, and expiry date control.
· Supervise opening, closing, inventory counts, and waste control.
· Lead the bar shift when required, assigning tasks and maintaining operational rhythm.
· Train junior bartenders in techniques, standards, recipes, and service posture.
· Demonstrate strong knowledge of spirits, classic cocktails, low \& no ABV drinks, wines, and contemporary trends.
**Profile**
· Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in cocktail bars, high-quality restaurants, or premium hospitality venues.
· Excellent creative ability and mastery of bar techniques, preparation, and cost control.
· Experience in informal leadership or team supervision.
· Fluent in Portuguese; English is valued.

Compensation: €1,500.00 \- €1,600.00 per month
