The restaurant Organic & Inspired Cuisine at Herdade da Malhadinha Nova - Relais & Châteaux, located in Albernoa, Beja, in the heart of Baixo Alentejo, is currently recruiting for the position of Pastry Chef (m/f). The gastronomic concept of the Malhadinha restaurant, once again awarded the Michelin Green Star in 2025, is based on signature cuisine. At Malhadinha, a culinary approach emphasizing ingredient selection, precise preparation, and intelligent flavor combinations is practiced in every dish, using mostly organic products from the estate and favoring local producers, always inspired by Alentejo's gastronomic traditions and regional culture. Our restaurant serves wines, olive oil, honey, various cereals such as durum wheat and barbela, oats, rye, barley, Alentejo cattle, white and black Merina sheep, and Black Iberian pork—all with Protected Designation of Origin (PDO)—as well as vegetables and fruits grown in the restored gardens and orchards on the property. Function The Pastry Chef will be primarily responsible, together with the Executive Pastry Chef – Cintia Koerper, for ensuring and supervising pastry production in accordance with Malhadinha’s gastronomic concept, food safety and hygiene standards, and sustainability policies, aiming to deliver excellent service that exceeds customer expectations. Desired Profile * Professional technical training in Kitchen / Pastry; * Minimum of 4 years of professional experience, preferably in "haute cuisine"; * Ability to deliver distinctive and refined service with strong customer orientation; * Leadership skills and ability to manage team schedules; * Strong communication, adaptability, and interpersonal skills; * Creativity, proactivity, and dynamism; * Sense of responsibility and strong planning and organizational abilities.
