Collaborate with QA and platform teams for production-ready solutions **Job Description** At Tieto, we are looking for an AI Engineer (Speech \& NLP Systems) to join our team and contribute to the development of intelligent voice and conversational AI solutions. We are seeking a motivated professional with experience in Speech Technologies, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, or related fields, eager to work in an innovative, collaborative, and fast\-paced technological environment. In this role, you will help enhance the robustness, intelligence, and real\-world performance of our speech and language systems, enabling seamless and reliable user interactions across our platforms. You will work on end\-to\-end speech and NLP pipelines, including ASR, NLU, and intent/slot models, while collaborating closely with QA and platform teams to ensure scalable, optimized, and production\-ready solutions. Responsibilities Design and enhance speech recognition and natural language processing solutions, including ASR, NLU, and intent/slot detection pipelines Improve system performance in real\-world environments, considering noise, accents, and diverse user interactions Support the development of language understanding capabilities and conversational flows Optimize AI models to achieve efficient latency and resource usage Define and execute evaluation methodologies to measure speech and NLP model quality Collaborate closely with QA and platform teams to ensure stable and reliable production deployments Qualifications Proven experience working with speech technologies and/or NLP systems Hands\-on experience with ASR and NLU architectures and pipelines Knowledge of model evaluation processes and dataset preparation/curation Strong programming skills in Python and experience with machine learning frameworks Understanding of deployment challenges and production environment constraints Experience developing voice assistants or conversational AI solutions Familiarity with Edge AI or embedded machine learning environments Experience working with multilingual NLP models or locale\-specific language solutions Nice to Have Experience improving speech systems for noisy or low\-resource environments Knowledge of conversational AI optimization and dialog management strategies Exposure to scalable AI deployment and monitoring practices Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills Proactive mindset and ability to work collaboratively in cross\-functional teams **Additional Information** At Tieto, we believe in the power of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
