A company belonging to a leading group in the Food Industry sector is seeking to hire a Plant Manager.
Reporting to the Operations Director and responsible for team coordination, you will ensure safe, efficient, and profitable production, guaranteeing quality, compliance with HACCP/GMP/IFS standards, equipment maintenance, and team development.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Daily operational management: plan and coordinate production lines, shifts, and resources.
* Food quality and safety: ensure compliance with IFS, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and traceability.
* Cost and inventory control: manage raw materials, waste, and consumption efficiency.
* Maintenance and reliability: coordinate with the maintenance manager to implement preventive and corrective maintenance of factory equipment.
* Leadership and development: participate in recruitment, train and evaluate teams; promote a continuous improvement culture.
**Candidate Requirements**
* Bachelor’s degree in Management or Engineering;
* Minimum of 6 years’ experience in similar roles within the food industry (due to the critical nature of food safety topics), pharmaceutical industry, or other regulated sectors;
* Prior experience in demanding environments involving transformation/restructuring challenges;
* Technical knowledge of: HACCP, GMP, quality control, OEE, Fill Rate compliance;
* Knowledge of continuous improvement concepts and application of related tools (KAIZEN and LEAN); Food technology; Food quality and safety; Integrated management systems; Factory budgetary control (P\&L);
* Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
* Intermediate-level Spanish and English (spoken and written);
* Leadership, autonomy, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
